Supercell is one of the developers who suffer from the constant fraud of their games. He is one of the few selected mobile developers who really have the talent to create new experiences that are innovative in the genre in which they exist.

We saw it with Clash of Clans, the first mobile game that really delivered the RTS experience in a free format. This continued with Clash Royale, the newly designed card fighter in a wonderfully visual new style that was very user-friendly for beginners and culminated with Brawl Stars, the hero of the mobile-friendly shooter.

While cheating on their games should be frustrating for Supercell, the developer could always rely on clones never to pose a major threat. Clash of Clans, Royal Clash and Brawl Stars continue to dominate their respective genres, and all participants disappear in the dust a few months after their release.

The point of our long-term introduction is that this is the environment that Magic: ManaStrike enters. It's the latest in a long list of Clash Royale's competitors, but it's the only one we've played so far that really tries to bring something new to the table, and we think it really serves the crown of Clash Denting royale.

Magic: ManaStrike tries to bring something new to the Clash Royale table

Because although the comic images can add that aspect to that of another occasional clash competitor, it's actually much deeper than what we're used to, and it's largely thanks to the excellent Magic IP that developer Netmarble had available for drawing ,

To get started, you can choose one of several planeswalkers, who essentially serve as particularly powerful heroes that you can start on the battlefield at any time for free. In addition, each hero harmonizes with one of the five mana colors: white, blue, black, red and green.

Each color has its own card game that offers many completely unique playing styles. Of course, there are also a large number of predefined cards that are shared by the decks. So you don't necessarily have to start from scratch if you want to switch planeswalkers.

Each of the five types of mana has its own peculiarities

There are also many synergies that go beyond what Clash Royale offers. For example, from the start we unlocked a card that turns all nearby air cards into air, which means that enemy units cannot attack them. Then we developed a new deck out of range, which mainly consisted of antenna units.

What impresses us most about Magic: ManaStrike is that it excellently closes the gap between Clash Royale's relaxed, friendly approach and deep and frankly incredibly deep card hunters. Hearthstone. They think of synergies and different types of mallets like Clash Royale never did.

It remains to be seen if he can beat Clash Royale in his own game, but Magic: ManaStrike pleasantly surprises us. It offers the same friendly leisure fun as Clash Royale, but in a format that has many similarities to good card games. As a result, the gap between the two communities can be bridged.

If you are a fan of shock, magic or card fighters in general we can easily recommend Magic: ManaStrike as it itches the itchiness of all three. And even if that's not the case, it's worth taking a look at as it is a great place to start.
