In season seven of Clash Royale, Supercell gave players a taste of the new Firecracker card that will be released next week. Similar to the sixth season , Firecracker presents a new mechanic who will no doubt reform certain target strategies.
Inspired by Penny of Brawl Stars , another Supercell game, the Firecracker shoots fireworks at its homemade bazooka. If you hit the first target, it deals damage and then explodes in a cone, causing additional damage to the units behind that target.
At first glance, the Firecracker resembles the Hunter in the sense that it is a conical extension, but plays a completely different role in Clash Royale . The Hunter is more of a melee tank killer, while the Firecracker seems to be a difficult counter for beatdown decks .
A common strategy for the beatdown target is to place a tank like a giant, a PEKKA or a golem and then a support unit a few spaces behind. Due to the location, it can sometimes be difficult to pull these support troops from behind. Depending on its geometry, the cracker can touch these support troops.
Its distance and range is also useful to counteract elixir pumps, which are often placed in the corner of the map behind the Princess Tower. The Firecracker's range will allow it to aim at the tower, but its shard will expand even further and destroy the health of the Elixir Bomb.

The Firecracker is a community card that only costs three elixirs. It will be available at the beginning of season 7 on January 6th. You can purchase it through a special challenge (or randomly at Hog Mountain once it's fully released). As with Battle Healer, unlocking Firecracker automatically increases your King's level.
